hmm, by lore i'd rather say that the uchiha could have manifest senjutsu into the sharingan

however only after mastering the etermal mangekyou sharingan > thus helping awaken the rinnegan

whereas, the senju's mastering of senjutsu is on it's own an entire wholesome realm not just in the eye's jutsu.

debate-able perhaps ?

Madara needed Kurama's help to fight Hashirama, and still lost.

Sasuke lost to Naruto. Their power was closest to each other I guess.
