[ Player Guide ] Is def/res reduction a debuff? (Gamariki summon testing)

So this question has been brought up lately

I'm sure most of you who used or fought vs Gamariki summon saw that it actually reduces resistance of immune ninjas also


I decided to do a small test to see if this really is a debuff and can it be cleared ?



I used this team:

So in round 1 he hits my Fuguki and I use mystery to trigger Gamariki summon easily

Then Temari does standard attack + combo to reduce her cooldown and trigger mystery right away in round 1

For the cases where I wanted to "clear" the resistance debuff I used Pain-Gakido shield on Kushimaru (thus clearing 1 debuff from everyone also) right after Gamariki chase was triggered

This is also the reason why you won't see damage on Kushimaru in the "with clearing" screenshots

CONCLUSION:


In both cases the damage on Earth Main varied 5,6 - 6k and on Gakido 4 - 4,2k which seems to be a normal variation

The def/res "debuff" can't be removed since it's not really a debuff , and that's also why it can affect immune ninjas

as far as i know, but i may be mistaking, the resistance reduction is not permanent.

it can't be removed directly with a healing or a debuff clearing effect, but if is not applied again within a certain quantity of rounds it disappears.

fire main's used to work so (before was modified in the current one), jiraya's chase too.

you may test this, but i'm pretty sure that if you apply it in round 1 and in round 2 and 3 you aren't able to apply it again, then in round 4 is no more there.

Can Karin and Sakura's christmas's debuff (passiv) can be removed by things like Madara 5k's mystery? Since their debuff last for 5 rounds.

There might be that, although Gamariki summon doesn't state any amount of rounds, just that it's stackable

5 kage madara removes only buffs and not debuffs therefore it is impossible


But that's an interesting question because that "debuff" does last 5 rounds, although I am pretty sure it works the same way as Gamariki that it can't be cleared

I will consider testing it next week just to be sure

What about immune ninjas though? When I use Christmas Karin, in Arena I often see "Immune Ninja" thing pop up when she attempts to lower their resistance

also poison doesn't state that if is not applied again it disappears by itself after 3 rounds, the same for the shields.

the mechanics, imho, are the same as poison and shields.

if is not reapplied it disappears after a certain amounts of rounds.

as i said, i'm not sure about it, but seems quite likely (otherwise couldn't cost only 15k coupons...)

if if pops then means the effect was not applied.
