  • Yes.
    My limit is at five.
If the mission is meant to be that way, does that mean this game promotes unfair advantages for paying players over people who can't afford it?
isn't that.... like.... the very nature of preemium games??

  • Not necessarily. Some games base their premises on aesthetics. Everything can be accessed in the game if you put time and effort, and paying players don't have much of an advantage. For example, some timers can be removed, such as the one in the Ranked Battles. Non-paying members don't mind that.

Alternatively, aesthetic items (skins) can be bought. They don't modify the core of the game, but makes you look * cool. Shape shifting cards, for example, fall into this category.

But the way this (and allegedly most other "F2P") game is built, paying members will keep creating this gap between them and the non-paying member base. This will have the result of breaking the balance, and irritate the non-paying players, who will just quit playing because they can't catch on.
Then the few paying players will be left alone, which will make things boring, and they will stop playing as well.
And then you have empty servers.
Great recipe if you want to get quick money with a game and then let it die. This post was last edited by kon***@kongregate at 2016-12-4 11:39 This post was last edited by kon***@kongregate at 2016-12-4 11:44
And this is why I've spent hundreds on skins in mobas but not a cent in this game.
And for the record, only ever spent on skins, I farmed out all the heroes themselves with in game currency.

I'm a strange stranger person with very odd set of values.....

  • U can spend 10 coupons per 1x battle so 5x = 50 coupons.
What a horrible idea, except for sage naruto, which this is one of the few "guarantee" method and there are likely better ones, the other items have a clear price tag. And at 50 coupon for 20 pt is actually less cost effective than buying outright. At least think a little before arguing for argument sake.

  • Just putting it out there, eventually everyone will reach a wall, and everyone will be able to get the fremium characters. This is far from Pay to Win, and more of a Pay to Advance. Sure, you make a gap quickly and efficiently in the beginning, but those few players who actually play the game will not be let down. I hadn't spent more than $50 on the game (Jounin Medal), and I've been consistently in the top with players who spend FAR more money than i do. I'm also close to getting Sakura, and should be able to get her finished with the next time her event runs around. Playboy should be done soon. A lot of the non fremium rare characters I've gotten from playing trials.

TL : DR - I've only payed for Jounin Medal, and I'm keeping up with players who have went hams to the wall and bought everything that came out so far, only lossing to the "Immortal" Water/Sakura team combo.
How long would you estimate for a free player to get, for example, 5* itachi susannos?
Do you think it will be within the game's life span?
If not, then the game is ptw, as they are assured to have some advantage that will not be caught up--by the time ftp catch up with what they have now, they will simply have more.
