I have been changing his position (Main character) to force him to cast his mystery first. But lo and behold, no matter what I do - it's always Sasuke! someone please help. How do I prevent this? Reply

The AI puts sasuke's mystery in a higher priority than most other mysteries, so I suggest putting him on a different team so your main can cast.
