By this point I'm just beyond disappointed. This is a ninja many people have spent money to get, and through all my testing he doesn't seem to function like he should. I guess it's a good thing he's possibly going away for awhile... But it still doesn't give me any confidence on spending on things in the future.

I got an answer and also towards fire mains "Secret Lotus" as well. Which is the opposite of Shikamaru's passive.

There's Kekkei Gekkai and Kekkei Totta, which both belongs to Blood Limit but they are different attributes.
So Shikamaru passive would only affect the certain selections on your list.
(Only one that confuses me is Sasuke(Playboy) and Shippuden. Each should have the same tags)
