[ Help ] GNW packs distribution. Can we do it like this?

Hi everyone! As a leader of a group that has active memebers on a server that opened 4 weeks ago basically I find it pretty difficult to distribute packs. Even though I dont have much experience of being a leader and I wanna be fair in my choices on this. Previously i looked overall participation (chat, convoy and etc), donations, amount of fights in GNW, power increase rate, but it took time to compare all and i still made mistakes... So i decided to make a new system for packs distribution based on some ideas i found on the site. Before using it in action i decided to discuss it in forum to minimize risks or dont use it at all:
Packs auction.
This systems consists of 2 stages: people collecting "money" for activity and betting at the end of the week. In addition, it may work only for groups that have at least 20 and more members participating in GNW and with some memebrs that reached lvl 60.

Part 1. How to get "money"?
Members by their own regulate their earnings (lets call them points for being simple). They memorise/write their activity somehow and try to maximise their funds:
1. 1 fight in GNW gives 5 points. So all fights together 25 points.
2. 7 days people can donate. Nevertheless their donation limits are different due to lvl difference. Still we know that 300k was a maximum for everyone at start and this sum can be reached by most if they are active.
300k*7=2100k.
Let than 60k donations be equal to 1 point. With this players will receive 35 points if they donate 300k perday.
3. The problems come there: how to estimate convoy and other group activities? Its hard to collect info about them and basically will be annoying for everyone...than we wont do it! Why to make people suffer? Without these activities people wont receive coins and will donate less. Thats in their interest to participate in such events also.

Part2. Lets bet!
At the end of the week people send mails with their bets on different types of packs to the leader by mail. The highest bets ofc win and get packs. But is it fair? This way no. still we can regulate the process:
1. The memebrs that receive packs lose their points collected and in the next 2-1-0 weeks cant collect them. its related to next rule
2. All those who didnt get a thing continue to collect points and bet next weeks aggregate sum of them. Still with this model all will aim for legendaries...so we make another rule - you can collect points for 3 weeks max in a row. On the 4th week points will "vanish" and members start collecting them again. People must be logical in their chances!
*number of weeks/special rules for different medals depend only on number of active members. We have ~25 really always active so thats why 3 weeks for us may be nice.
3. There may be situations when people dont bet on some packs. In this case leader personally distribute packs and those who received cant bet next weeks. Again people should be rational! Otherwise they may lose points...and get a worse packs. There may be other ways to do it. Still thinking.

Part3. Control!
To control that people dont lie - leader can take screanshots of donations at start and end of the week/after distribution or at start of the rotation 3 weeks.
The methods may be different. Leader need to check it.

Part4. Prices!
1. Basically, Elite Packs may cost the 60 points or less. Thats all battles participation and 300k donations perday or less.
Hero Packs may cost 70-80 and legendaries 90-100.
2. After first week prices rise cause people will bet aggregate. i wanna make it 50% more. So on second week Elite packs cost 90...and so on. On third week prices rise again.

Drawbacks:
1. Low lvls wont get a chance to obtain legendaries. Still with "inflation" (that we can correct) pricess will lower in long run. So if legendaries cost 100 at the end of the 3d week they will cost 225. and with 300k donations per days and all fights participation lowlvls will get ~ 180 points. and their lvl rises they can donate more...
2. Activite members are needed.
And many others...

Its not the final version of the sytem. Things can change a lot. Need time to make it fully applicable. Just theory right now.
So what do you think: i have weird imagination or need to work on this idea a bit more?

  • A much simpler idea is a weighted lottery distribution system. Leaders define the "worth" of activities members take part in. And when distributing packs then can click to randomize distribution. Those with more points will high a higher chance to gain a pack, but overall its still luck, so its fair.

    Ex: Leading convoy 1 pt.
    Assist in convoy .5 pt
    Leading TI 1 pt.
    Assist in TI .5 pt.
    Lead Group Instance 1pt.
    Assist in Group Instance .5 pt
    Attend 1 round of GNW 2 pts.
    Cheer 1 round of GNW 1 pts.
    Gold donation 100k per pt. (Max 5 pts per week, prevents top players in ninetails from buying packs so to speak and everyone can spare 500k coins every week, and 500k coins is easily obtainable by a active player)
    Leader Commodation +1 pt. (If you see a player go above and beyond for others, helping make teams, etc etc, Max 2 pts per group member)

    I was debating on whether or not people have to have attended GNW at least 1 round to be eligible
Cant say thats much simplier. this idea yeah is good, better than mine. Nevertheless, i cant imagine where i can get so much info. I rule a group just for 4 weeks. I was senior on another server...but not leader. A bit hard :D.
I agree with Neconis a bit more. Still, last weeks i gave two of the most active memebrs packs. Noone diagreed with mine distributions. maybe just 2 mistakes we though. So 25/27 right decisions it seemed to be.....Nothing like this.
First received elite pack. He was in our group for 2-3 weeks: tried to max donations, he learned a lot..was talkative, nice guy, helped others... 2-3 ago he left our group and joined anopther. moreover made 3 his friends left.
Another one was amazing player. Like me: came from other servers. Joined group at first day. Was ANBU maxed donations, tought people to play... Nothing bad. Was in Top 10 in power from start. Received legendary... Now 4 days offline without words.
23/27 right decisions...
So now i understand that feelings of a leader may play a bad joke even with looking only on those improving/good players. Thats why i decided to make something new in my free time :D

  • Not simpler? All you do is define the values for each method (type a number in), then select random distribution (click a *on). Everything is tracked and calculated server-side.
Your systems is nice. But not only there is no way to collect such info, except manually with all working on it, Those who update game and make It better won't make upgrades that will deal with so much things. Too much work is needed. To track others gi, ti and other records also sounds a bit like stalking.
I can't imagine how to do it even on new servers where in groups there is no much people. In our group we have 21-34 gnw participants. In theory if that is possible it would be awsome. Just entering numbers and using random program.
The only things I see to be used is logical calculation of donations and gnw battles with addition to subjective points from leader that looks at overall participation (chat, gi, convoy and etc). Trying to make system based on these two parameters.
If you actually used your idea please tell me. It's too awesome(won't lie). I absolutely understand your ideas.

  • The tracking of each activity to be accounted for requires the level of bureaucracy that stops this being a game for person doing it and becomes a 2nd job so no thanks. All thats really needed is just more packs or for game to award participants a seal scroll for each battle they win in war.
Yeah, agree. Jjust when they will make it? Or do they even think about this? We Have to deal with what we have now at least.
