I hope people get this once and for all: don't do solos unless you have really back luck with people online in your group.
Do only group and if you fail, do another group.
The exception is if your team can't even finish 1 star group, which on some of them can happen (the ones that move at same time as you), for lv 45 that's the akatsuki I believe.
In such a case, you might get the higher coin and group victory reward but as you cannot beat 3rd stage, no contribution.
If you can solo 3 stages on the solo, you will at least get some contribution. -

After reaching level 50, or at least, AFTER REACHING LEVEL 70 !!! It is assumed you can complete the group challenge.
It pissed me off when level 79 don't know the rules and they say: "Let me do solo first, then we can do group."
This level of ignorance should be hurtful.
Most of them sure, but there was one or two that we didn't clear until 75. And we aren't exactly weak, I got 3 "1st clear" reward (never "1st rank" which is technically what it is, because our competition was serious ptw and once they clear it, we can't pass them). I think the mizukage and the hokage ones were the last ones? All the others was easy I think.
Also, Akatsuki was pretty insane, not sure if we ever cleared that (it was found that some of the 65+ ones were easier...), today is konoha so can't see the records. -
