    Why would they make it like this ?
    Equipment is not bound to move X, so when I substite a ninjutsu type with another ninjutsu type, the equipment should stay the same.
    Why isn't this like that with runes ?
Ask the guy who made the game lol, but that's how it is. Also later on we get formations, those also bound to placement and maybe some other stuff, so it feels weird to us now, but you will probably get used to it.
