Hi, I recommend saving them up for future events, or a least save a portion of them up, because for most events, if you wish to save up for a costume, or a powerful time-limited ninja, it will require a ton of coupons to exchange for them. Unless you recharge very often, it will become more difficult to obtain coupons as you level.

If you would like to buff your current team, I suggest you to spend coupons on refining, because magatamas are very easy to save up from ninja exams. Even though some may think refining is very chance dependent/coupon draining, and do not influence your power very much, those should not be the reasons for ignoring it.

The reason for that is, there are very few ways to increase those stats, which play a crucial role in battles, such that winning rate may be dependent on your initiative. Why so? For example if you are facing a controlling team, if their initiatives are higher, they may cause conditions to your entire team that prevent them from moving. With high initiatives, it is possible to defeat opponents that have 10k more power than you.
I'm not saying the main stats (attack, defense, ninjutsu, resistance) are not important, it's just that those additional stats should not be disregarded.

In terms of what type of magatamas to give to each of your ninjas, distribute them with accordance to your ninjas talents.
For example, giving gai sensei whose talents are all taijutsu based attack magatamas would be a better idea than to give him ninjutsu ones,
also giving earth main defense ones, and life magatamas to choza etc.
make sure to give life, defense and resistance to those in the front row for a better survival chance though.

Also for your other questions,

does life > def/resistance or vice versa?
it depends on your ninjas, such as konan who gives shields w/ life points based on her resistance stat,
and that earth class is a defense based class. For most times though, they are just as important as the other.

ninjutsu for your azure fang?
yes, she is a ninjutsu based class

how do some attacks reach back liners?
despite mysteries that allow you to select your target, skills such as Lightning Assassination Sword of the lightning class will attack whoever has the lowest life points

  • What kind of events need coupons? Costumes? Time-limited Ninja? Are these even in-game yet? How do you know this? I've heard that there are some people who have played this game in previous versions or something of that nature?

And I see. So that's what refinery does. . .
Do you have any tips on what specific gear I should refine first, or are they all the same and I should distribute refines equally?
Defeating people 10k higher than you .. Sounds very impressive.

And agreed on the Magatamas. That makes sense. Thanks!
They are not in game yet since the English version has just started, but later on it is very likely that they will introduce events where you'll be able to exchange for ninjas from. Yes I play the Taiwanese version.

Literally for every event, if you want anything good you'll need to spend coupons

these are what we currently have just to give you a general idea, and we have an update for a new set of events every week

and also costumes

The stats given by refining are ac*ulative for all the equipments on the same ninja,
so it does not really matter that much, try to refine all of them if you can.

for your mysteries, yes you c*ways select your target. This is how you may control them before they use their mystery on you This post was last edited by moumin at 2016-8-1 11:53

  • Very interesting. . .
I'll probably save my coupons then.
I'll save them unless I start feel as if I'm falling behind dramatically and need a boost in stats.
So far, I think that I'm doing quite fine.

    I can't read Chinese, so I can only guess what I see. . .
It looks like a board game . . .with a dice. I'm assuming you spend coupons to roll the dice. . .And you'll obtain whatever corresponding tile you "land" on?

Also, I don't think I can see the two screenshots you posted for costumes.
Do you mean things like the Playboy Sasuke, Sailor Sakura, and Swimsuit Ino characters?
you get points for each move and you use the points to redeem for prizes.
you can never get enough points for the good prizes without buying dices with coupons so...

oh um no, they are permanent costumes/outfits you wear on your main character, like cowboy suits, sailor suits, etc
