  • Now how would you know that? What if there are some issues that need to be tuned out before making the events "official" or an unexpected complication that requires one of them to be postponed and then possibly replaced with a different one. I'd really love to see the events too, but I'm not going to pretend to know what's going on behind the scenes.
It is the norm now a days to let players know a head of time future events. Such as OPTC announcing the Freeza event about a month a head of time, or League announcing the next 4 game modes in the rotation, or even MMOs announcing expansions almost more than a year away from release. It lets player prepare for events, plan a head, and make a strategy.

With Naruto Online if we were to get info on events earlier than we do now it would help a lot. Players would be able to plan out their coupon spending to make sure that they are not *ing their coupons on a event that will give them less * for their buck, or let them know their is a event later on that will have something they want so they know to save. It would also let players know if they should use stamina pots or not for current events or save for one that will need more stamina. Another thing it will do is give players that are saving for a rebate a bit of relief knowing how long they have to wait for. I have been saving my seal scrolls for about a month now waiting for a rebate, and let me tell you it would be a lot easier if I knew when the next one was coming.

  • You're a smart guy. I like you ; P
I hope that is a joke. If you are holding content just because you don't like how your community is acting that is just wrong. Don't discipline your player base, but rather work so that they are happy. Of course I'm not saying give in to every demand your player base makes, but if multiple people are bringing up the same issue or concern then it should be something you look at and take into account.

  • Why should we be grateful for something they should have been doing to begin with? Very few games wait till the last minute to post events. Other games I play post events and updates a week or more in advance.
Agreed, few companies/studios I follow post info day of, and instead give players time to plan/hype themselves up.

  • We could have nothing though. Give them credit for what we do have instead of wanting more.
You right we could have nothing, but you have to remember that this is their job. You don't go to a restaurant and just accept bad service. Your food took an hour, it was cold, and waiter told you to screw off, you don't just go "well I could of got nothing". No you ask to talk to a manager, or you leave and just go somewhere else.

  • One reason for them to wait is so you can't see next week's event before deciding whether to participate in this week's event.
I personally see that to be *my. Banking on your player base to * their resources before releasing something that would interest them more just to try and squeeze money out of them.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with making your players choose between things. But making them play this guessing game instead of legitimately giving them a choice between two rewards is *my.

The question "Is this worth it" is not as good as "is A better than B"

  • Well, if they do decide to do it earlier, it needs to be like a full day earlier, so that you don't have only a small section of the playerbase with the opportunity for extra information.
I totally agree, in fact I think information should be given a week in advanced (minimum). Give players time to think, and prepare ya know.
