I had the same issue with the Mysterious Scrolls last week on some days, it's just pure RNG. Keys worked fine for me today, still didn't get 10 but I had used over 200 stamina before the update so not surprising.

ok, now I'm starting to think it's a bug as well. I'm also at exactly 5 keys all day which seems to be the magic number
