Not sure if it's a problem with my guide itself, or because this team is too obvious to warrant a huge guide for it.

Unfortunately, as a lightning main, that becomes difficult to do. The only ninjas that chase low float, without dipping into Premium characters, are Kakashi, Suigetsu, Zabuza, Tsunade, and Sasuke. Giant Katsuyu is perfect for Water Mains, but not for lightning main, really.

The only reason I have Giant Katsuyu there is for the small power boost. I never actually use her.

About slug, i have only seen fire mains with it, not once had a use for it as water. As for main topic, the guide is very well written but some more options would be nice, Hinata is pretty much a freebie but some people might be missing Tobi/Kurenai or don't want to run Hinata because everyone else does. Also personally i find going first is way to big of an advantage to pass up so i would probably run Tobi/Main on move 1/2 instead.

Dangerous stuff like Kiba/Kank is 75% top row and 20% mid i find, so bottom is kind of a safe lane.

You're right about putting main or tobi on the 1st or 2nd move number, but you need to have Hinata on the 1st row in order for her mystery to be used in full effect.

If she's not in the front row, the people will no longer target her with their standard attack, with doesn't give you the breather you need in the 1st round. Both Tobi and the Lightning main are pretty * squishy, and without Hinata acting as the tank, you'll find yourself in some trouble.

But other than that, your build looks solid too. If you don't have Kurenai, you c*e Tsunade. Kabuto's also an option that can work, but you'd have to sacrifice combo potential, as with Kabuto, all 3 of your ninja would chase knockdown.

If you don't have Tobi, things get harder, as it's difficult to counter another Tobi without your own as he'll just dodge everything. You c*e someone like Gai or Kankuro in order to have some DPS with and ability to add a status effect (ignite for gai, poison for Kank). With all of these, you'll have to switch your summons around, as well as your chase. I have the combo simulator linked, so anybody willing to can experiment

Its a nice guide ! :) But I'm still gonna try it out tomorrow or when the Survival Trial can let me reset.

But how about the team's performance during a PvP ?

It's works pretty dern well in PvP! I'm the 14-15th strongest person in my server and on Sage World today, I managed to get 2nd in my group!

You'll want to *yze the types of people you fight against and the types of teams you'll face and change your move numbers accordingly! If your server is saturated with earth mains and GNW Kankuro, make sure your combo starters are 1 move number above. If you have someone with a strong ninja in slot 1, like Sage Naruto, make sure to keep your main in slot 1 too. If your refines are higher, you can render him useless!

This team is pretty high risk, high reward! I find that, at the very least, it performs extremely well in sealing away fire teams, as they rarely have dedicated healers, other lightning main teams, and earth main teams without premium characters like Sage Naruto or Hashirama. You might have trouble with Water Mains that act as a healer, as they can clear away all debuffs, rather than just 1 tho

Wait did you find this strategy just by trial and error or did you use a simulator, the talent pictures look straight from the game?

Both. I tried to find what I needed: an acupunture, a mirror return, an ignite or poison, etc. and I put it into the simulator to find characters that would match.

In the end, this is what I came up with.

I understand your reasoning behind Kurenai but unless you have some godlike initiative on her, she'll always cast her mystery after the opponent has already shat on all that you love and cherish.
Also, most lightning mains run Kimimaro now and is a giant pain in the ass.

Any suggestions on a team that includes Lightning main and Sage Naruto who I got luckily the other day?
I have the ninjas you said for this original team but cant face a team with out him in it now lol I have Fox summon and Hell Dog plus most other free ninja

This guide is heavily outdated now, as Aos are commonplace and this team is weak to round 1 cc.

Just off the top of my head, you could try Lightning main, Sage Naruto, Ao, and Iruka?
You can replace Iruka with another swordsman and run a root of warrior team.

I'll try and think of a better guide later, since Kage ninjas really change things up

I don't believe this lineup would work that well in pvp even without kage ninjas. One way I would fight against this lineup would be to trigger the mirror with tobi's ignite standard attack, before controlling the clone with Shikamaru. (Yes, I use him) This stops any acupuncture if it affects my (earth) main. Since your hinata is move 1, my earth main (which is in move 1) would definitely have the priority over tobi and/or your lightning main. Executing my mystery first would pretty much stop your combos.

I believe the scariest lightning mains I fought uses the debuff immune skill along with their main in move 1. This makes them unstoppable (and hence really painful >_

Do keep in mind that this was made over 2 months ago, back when people were just starting to get Sage Treasures.

This team worked way back then. It fails miserably now; I'm not entirely sure why this thread is becoming active now. It got no attention when I first wrote it lol
