That is not correct. System allows you to check in. Most of the players met this problem during maintenance day so we think there was problem.
As I said in my previous comment, this problem shouldn't affect your rewards for full month attendance. If it will, feel free to report it to me with screenshot and we will add rewards to your account manually.
