Hello dear NO-Team,
So I'm sure the developers already knew about the Obito Rage Mode bug that makes him only "half-transform" when reaching exactly 70%. And by that I mean he gets healed, even the technique points show up above his character, but he doesn't actually go into his rage mode with his changed skillset. This was a very appearent bug because it was so easily reproducable by just letting Obito do his standards and chases without getting hit first.
Unfortunatly the bug is now far easier to trigger, being activated when Obito reaches hp between 65% to 70% (inclusive).
How to reproduce the bug: Let Obito use 5 chases and/or standard attacks. Then use his mystery. Before this method was the "workaround" to his previous iteration of the bug, since this way he is at 65%, skipping over the 70% hp mark. However now, he still triggers the bug regardless even though he is at 65% hp.
How do I know this bug triggers between exactly 65% to 70% hp?
Testing the 70% threshhold isn't difficult. Simply let Obito use 4 chases and/or standards, then use mystery. The bug triggers, like it always has. At 71% hp or above nothing happens to begin with.
Testing the 65% threshhold is a bit trickier to set up. Use Lighting Main with nature cultivated Mystery 1 (Swift Gale Slash). Use it on Obito. Then let Obito do 5 chases and/or standards, then use mystery. This will get him to 64% hp instead. He will transform normally without the bug triggering.
Now we try to only let Obito use 5 chases and/or standards, then use Mystery which gets him tom 65% hp. The transform-bug will happen.
From this we can infer that the bug happens exactly between 65% hp and 70% hp.
Thank you for the constructive post as well as the detailed debug. The devs have been made aware about the increased scope in triggering this last weekend, though at this time we do not have an ETA yet for the fix. We'll continue to push for this to hopefully get it resolved soon. Appreciate all the effort from your end, and sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you! I'm glad the devs are aware.
Meanwhile here are some workarounds for anyone who want to reliably trigger Obitos full transformation:
1. Slow setup: Do the setup that I recommended in the above post by simply using Lighting Main (nature cultivated mystery) on Obito, then doing the original workaround of letting Obito use 5 chases and/or standards, then using mystery.
2. Here for a faster setup: Use Kabuto [Snake Cloak] with Snake Strike Y Mystery. Use Dan with Spiritulisation Passive +2. Use Orochimaru Ninja Assist. This will let Kabuto do massive damage to Obito (+35% from Dan and +30% from Orochi), letting him transform easily. If that's not enough, unequip life magatamas from Obito. If you want to have enough chakra to use Obito mystery immidiatly after, use Fire Main with the 20 chakra passive. Fire Main also good for buffing Obito.
3. Wacky setup: Use Fire Main with Secret Art - Red Lotus to increase Combo Rate of Obito. Obito needs to use Y standard so he steals other ninjas standard attacks. The increased Combo Rate will ensure Obito steals standard after standard massivly damaging himself. If you get lucky enough, he will get healed by the transform bug, but keep using standard so many times after that (or just gets hurt by other sources during round 1) that he simply transforms anyways since the bug doesn't trigger twice in one round. To get this setup more realiably, you c*e Teuchi in your team so that your Obito c*e his standards without a care in the world.
EDIT: Or just get hit, whatever suits you
it's a problem that I reported to support 2-3 weeks after it became BT and they replied that they were aware of it and that they were working to resolve it; after a month of the problem persisting, I contacted them again and I will tell you that they were working hard to understand the reason for this.
A month ago I contacted them again and I replied that they didn't find any bugs, I gave up even just replying to them....... I hope that you can have better luck with this post :D
@va87da
The bug was well known, but this is about it worsening the threshhold of Obito's hp to trigger it. On that note...
UPDATE:
After having done some testing, the "worsening" of the bug is gone, the bug now only triggers at exactly 70% hp like it has before.
This thread can be closed as the original 70% bug is still being worked on by the devs.
