Are you sure it's immobile and not something else that looks similar?

Shikamaru/Ino is good but fire main/Ino is better.

Other than that chaos combo with Ino, I don't see a massive use for Shikamaru except maybe the combo rate, and even then you'd have to save up 40 chakra points.
