Hello readers.

So, it's been a month since the last news on the language filter... OG said they were working on ways to fix it so it would stop bothering the community. So far, they've work on the long, hard way, to uncensor some words, instead of making it check for actual swear words. This has been brought up many times before, but so far the filter works the same. At first I got to spend a reasonable amount of time figuring what could I possibly type to get censored, though lately it's been quicker to figure it out. Still... Why would the filter check word by word to find matches that are considered swear words, completely ignoring punctuation marks, really beats me. Specially since you can anyways type non swear words such as "*" (which is censored even if it's not a swear word), changing it to "st1ck". Meaning, if you really are as hell bent on swearing as the filter suggest, you still can do it, because, once again, it does not check for words or variants of them. I can't begin to imagine the effort it took to make this filter function the way it does, it must've been enormous. And I can't get the idea out of my mind that it's been for nothing, that it's been more annoying than helpful, that it's still there, annoying players, instead of being removed while worked on... If it is being worked on, which I don't know, since there aren't news about it.
I do not believe that the community is ok with the way the filter currently works. The fact that the last post about it was over a month ago, for me, means that we just got used to it, and are still waiting for a fix as we were told to. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm alone in this, can't know without trying to voice myself.

So, if anything, I'd really appreciate an update. That would be enough.
