Izumo's passive stacks for the whole fight. Yet i tested it in infinity illusion with a genma + izumo lineup.

Izumo did 1+2*2 + 3*2+ 4*2 + 5*2 + 5*5*2 = 79 chases within 10 rounds so according to the description of his skill he should have buffed the team for 158% crit rate not even counting base crit of the team. Yet my damage dealer's (who attacked after all the chases were done) crit rate was around 80% (1 of 5 attacks were non crit). How can this be?

Yeah, I also tried an illusion team with Genma and Izumo because I thought the crit rate buff would be good, but even by the later rounds I was only really getting crits from my most stacked ninja, and it didn't even seem like 80% of the time.

Hello,
Unfortunately we are not privy to the exact meaning behind game terminologies nor the math governing these actions. Increases to critical rate certainly increase the likelihood of a critical hit, but these increases are not necessarily additive, and there may be a hidden cap of which we are unaware. I can say that, it looks like the unit is working. An 80% critical chance is quite impressive and very good, and certainly would not happen without that unit. However, as we are not aware of the exact interactions between stats or how buffs interface with them, we can't really say how a unit "should" be performing in situations like this.

It seems to be a bit more than i would normally get with my team but way less than i was expecting. I guess you are right and it may be that the crit rate uses some kind of a log function, so lets say +50% crit rate would result in a bit less crit rate than +150% crit.

if i remember correctly, SCALES stat are additive based on % from base STAT

for example:

base crit 1000

after izumo chase x1, crit become = 1000 + (1000 x 2%) = 1020

if izumo chase again, crit become = 1020 + (1000 x 2%) = 1040.. and so on

in you case, u said crit rate total 185%, so crit become = 1000 + (1000 x 185%) = 2850

common mistake is that 100% crit rate equal to getting critical all the time.. its wrong

100% crit rate means that your crit stat is DOUBLED

2nd, crit rate in fight have complex formula which involve how much difference your crit stat & your opponent crit stat + other additional buff/barrier if any

the higher the difference, the higher the rate

if i'm not mistaken, crit rate capped at 89-90%

hope this help

:)

My pos1 has 50k crit, so it would be 129k crit according to your formula. Either a lot more crit is needed or there really is a cap
