Already have him, can easily get Hashi as well. Which would be better for dmg? Doesn't WV Asuma give Naruto slightly more dmg?

Hashirama would be better.

Asuma WB lose his buff once ninjas are no longer at full health. Even without Hashirama's barrier, his passive still provide a boost to ninjutsu.

Furthermore, Sage Naruto works really well with Hashirama as Hashirama can heal 2x at the start of the round and at the start of Sage Naruto. This post was last edited by Narbsy at 2016-10-1 15:02

You don't have hashirama do you? It theory Hashi DOES sound better but in reality he doesn't compare to WB Asuma in battle with Sage naruto especially if they are using Iruka)

let mi show u sum magik! ***

a wild hashirama appears!

All jokes aside, I did some testing on my own and found out various stuff. I will be comparing mystery (buffed and non-buffed) and standards (buffed and non-buffed) on a team of Kakashi. The reason I tested on a team of Kakashi was to show you the damage range which may not entirely be accurate but gives us a gauge of how high and low Sage Naruto can deal with his mystery.

With Hashirama's barrier

With 30% passive increase and 40% barrier increase.

Without Hashirama's barrier

With 30% passive increase only.

With Asuma's Buff

With Asuma's 30% all damage buff on full health.

Without Asuma's Buff

Look at all those Kakashi's having stomachache.

What I can say here is that with Asuma's buff, Sage Naruto wins Hashirama by about 200~300 damage (800~1200 damage on a full ninja team) without Hashirama casting Barrier. However, with Hashirama casting his barrier, he wins Asuma by 600~ damage (2400~ damage on a full ninja team).
One downside to Hashirama though is that his mystery only damage 2 ninja for two turn IF he successfully cast his barrier as compared to Asuma WB's mystery which damage 4 ninjas for a tons of damage in a single turn. Therefore, I agree with you on the point that Asuma WB's is good in quick fights.

For Asuma WB to work well, you need to have Iruka, which means that you are sacrificing a slot for his mystery which is an interrupt (hey! Hashirama inflict interrupt on his chase too! You just gotta move first before your opponent :P) and doesn't inflict knockdown etc. However, even with Iruka and Asuma Windblade, you run the risk of potentially losing the buff on turn 1 or 2 if opponent has better refine than you or they are running ignite/poison *ahem* karin, water main, tobi ... Unless you can gain 20 chakra more in turn two, you aren't going to cast Asuma WB's mystery until turn 3, by which you will most likely not be full health. If you're still full health.... STAHP BULLYING NEWBIES.

It is important to not forget that Hashirama's barrier increase taijutsu damage too, which increases Sage Naruto's standard (which already deals lots of damage).

Standard with Hashira's Barrier

Standard with Asuma WB's passive

Standard without Hashirma's Barrier

With Hashirama's passive of 30% increase ninjutsu.

Standard without Asuma WB's Standard (C*so be Standard without Hashira's barrier and passive)

This gives you a comparison of the standard that Sage Naruto deals with the various buffs and without buffs. In my opinion, Hashirama provide more utility thanks to his immobile. I would recommend Hashirama over Asuma WB's if most of your rounds with your opponent last more than 3 turn. After 2~3 turn, Asuma turn into a ninja with 3 turn mystery and a chase that inflict blindness. Ultimately, it depends on the lineup you are running.
And of course, I didn't forget about Iruka's passive which increase ninjutsu. This post is mainly to talk about the comparison of Asuma WB and Hashirama

So Asuma WB gives 15% for Tai and Nin rather than 30%?
As well, Naruto does Tai and Nin with all of his abilities.

Keep in mind we don't know the ratios for Naruto's Tai and Nin. It could be that it deals 1% Tai and 99% Nin but at least it has 1% Tai to get through Tendo passive hahaha. We could Math the crap out of this but I think this is fairly straightforward info.

Some of the problems I've also found with Hashirama is;

1. If I use chakra to cast Hashi's barrier, than I won't be able to use interrupt and vice versa
2. Hashi's chase is subpar

Hm, right now with how the meta is I can kill people by round 2.

If and when it changes to something tankier, I'll probably switch to Hashi.

Your hashi with iruka/sage naruto, are a perfect mesh team. I run a blaze for with seal lock for added cc. Now either they lock down hashi or sage with cc, or I get a barrier off with immolization and I win purley on autos, or they lock down hashi or my main and age naruto one shots your team.(Why might you ask, thanks to that beautiful hashi 70% attack/Ninj) just use a katsuyu or giant katsuyu and youll get a decent combo off, nothing omg but you'll get extra hits in.

Going with WB asuma over hashi(If you have him or the chance to obtain) is a huge mistake on your part.

This is an awesome 1v1 team but just as a good for GNW.

Whatever the choice, it is your team.

FYI: hashi chase isnt subpar it offers an interupt.

It ends the combo is the problem I find with it, because I'm going to be running Wind main over Fire main due to the fact that it buffs and protects Sage Naruto. I'm not going for anything but the Sage Naruto damage.

Oragiri runs the exact same thing.

Why not both and get rid of Naruto?

I don't use wind main too often anymore, but this lineup is one of my secret assassin lineup. The trick is to use Battlefield 0 CD skills to snipe key characters off of enemy lineups before they get a chance to react, with barrier + iruka shuriken + windmain whirlwind.

That with wind% buff, iruka % buff, windblade % buff, hashimara % buff + barrier, even the team's autos start breaking through peoples front lines.

T2 is left for asuma to clean up if need be.

but oragiri can run whatever he/she pleases and not worry about it on battle power alone, so an assessment of his team isn't always practical for every person.

If you're looking for protection run an earth main with iruka.. the point of sage naruto is literally to be the pulp out of your team round 2. Why you dump up his refinments & attack/ninj mags. With that and a hashi/iruka the buffs alone guarantee that.
