It was announced previously that the work on the Mac Miniclient was suspended and is no longer going forward. We were told that the devs were unable to complete the work, though we were not told why nor given any further information on the topic. Unfortunately, there are no longer plans as this time to create or implement a Mac miniclient. Those using a Mac that wish to play will have to use Maxthon5 (as you mentioned) or a virtual machine.
