This is unfortunately correct. The current monthly sign in ninja requires you to sign in for all days of the month, unless you use a Jonin Medal to activate the last 5 missed days, which is sadly no longer applicable in your case. Hopefully the ninja you missed will be available in events for you to finish recruiting, and you will still be able to get next month's ninja!
