The biggest difference is that the Y one causes "fright" debuff and Explosive Mode Y so I mostly recommend using that one it's better overall

This is kinda hard to guess the difference based on this descriptio. I believe +2 is only a "high chance to suppress super armor" while Y is guaranteed

And +2 does 30% more damage so I would personally choose that one

+2 Suppresses immunity which is really important these days so I would recommend using that one

Although the Y version increasing 20 chakra cost to your enemy could be very useful sometimes too

So basically just the condition difference (rounds vs health%)

If you want the barrier to be re-casted in these early rounds such as 2-3-4 then pick Y (only useful when your enemy has re-buffs and shielders)

Y is more offensive and I recommend it

Breakthrough priority:

Passive 2 > Mystery > Chase > Passive 1 > Standard
