Hello,
This is the first I've heard of someone having this issue with the new client. This is supposedly fixed with the new client. I will kick this up to support and see if they have any information. Meanwhile, a few questions for you that will help with the issue:
What physical region are you playing in, and what game region are you playing in?
Do you have a strong internet connection?
If you're comfortable sharing, what country are you in?
Thanks!
OK, I am being told that this does happen to other players, though it's quite rare. Apparently this happens when the PC in question does not have enough system resources to handle whatever is occurring. It happens most often with AC Kakuzu, but does also happen with units such as SS Konan (her mystery when many targets are affected) and SSP Naruto (when many standards are launched).
The recommended fixes for this are to minimize the amounts of other programs you have running in the background. Alternately, you can try swapping back to an older version of the miniclient to see if that is more stable for you.
Thanks for your response! The pc I play on is pretty new and has the hardware specifically for gaming so find it hard to believe that it can't support it but okay. I know this would be put in suggestions but could the game implement a settings function where players can choose to see simple effects instead of the drawn out animations. Not sure how difficult it would be to add but I know other games have this.
Unfortunately, this is not workable. The reason for this is because it will cause a mismatch between two different players that will give one player an edge over another player in a battle. Essentially, the player using this mode can potentially be anywhere from seconds to rounds ahead of the opposing player.
As mentioned previously, the vast majority of issues with AC Kakuzu and Kimono Itachi have been fixed with the newest miniclients. I was surprised to hear that there were still problems with either of them. This is relatively new news to me. As far as I'm aware, the devs are aware of the bugs, but, again, the current iteration of the miniclient fixes most of the issues and the majority of users no longer experience crashes or blackscreens from these ninjas. Hopefully future versions of the miniclient will further refine and iron out these remaining issues for the users that are still experiencing it.
