Typical behavior you witness from a lot of bad apples in browser games and from MMO's alike no matter where you go.

Honestly, it all depends on how populated your server is. Right now, I'm on a very quiet server so I haven't experienced as much toxic behavior from other people as you have.

All I can say is try to ignore the bad and empower yourself in the good. :)
