My sources (players that play on the CN version) tell me the "change/fix" to the splash formula was reverted back to its initial state, which is what we have here now in EN. It's not that big an issue for CN as the vast majority do not put all their eggs into the one basket (hard stacking P1) like we do, so the splash damage is not as extreme for them.
