I'm fire but they say is lightning.

There nothing like a "Best Class" they are all balanced, Lighting and FIre has the early, Wind *s Lighting, Earth in late is imposible to kill, every class has weakness and strong points, choose whatever you like more :)

Each class is good in their own way.Each of them has a weakness, and bonus resistance to one of the other elemets. Rock-Paper-Scissors style.

Wind < Fire < Water < Earth < Lightning. With Lightning having weakness against Wind.

So far, I am not impressed with Water. If you want my advice, don't get Water. Sure you can try to get her to work, but the other elemental mains outclass her immensely.
Get either lightning, fire, earth, or wind. I've seen some sick combos with lightning. I really like fire's splash damage and ignition effect. The ignition effect stops healing and inflicts some nice bonus damage - better than poison imo. Earth can be can incredible tank and frontline for your squishier, damage-dealing characters quite effectively. I've also seen some nice combos with the wind character. Her AoE rasengans and wind-based skills can really put a dent on common lightning characters such as Sasuke, Kakashi, and the lightning main character.

I agree. water is weak ...at least at this point that I can see.

Water isn't weak, lol. It's the best class later. This game has existed multiple times in various forms over the past few years with the same mechanics, dailies, and ninjas.

Later Water will be awesome. For one thing the element of Water is only weak to Earth. How many Earth people have you seen walking around? I'm sure you've seen TONS of Fire guys though (and you wreck them).

But more importantly it's the survival aspect and chakra control. Late game surviving is all that bloody matters because unless you paid to win you're not one-shotting everyone anymore. It's also extremely good in Arena where item bonuses make no difference. But for water to really shine she needs to be upgraded a ton and it won't be till about level 70 that you see she's freaking OP.

I went with Lightning this time because I remember the hellish Water grind and it's not worth doing that all over again. If you pay money it is though, you'll be much stronger team late game.

I hate Wind, this class has like the worst combo partners ever, once 60, im switching to Lightning i think.

For lightning, you need high initiatives and buffs
for fire, its more of a control/condition- causing( or status/whatever they are called) class
wind, really requires to have a good team that works well with their talents
