I did not ask how bond skills work, i asked if both forms of Shisui can be used to activate Itachi's bond skill.

Similar to how both forms of Orochimaru (Sannin+Konoha traitor) can activate the sound 5 barrier if you meet the requirements.

Shisui Kotoamatsukami is what you for itachi anbu as that was the one available at the time during the release of the bond skill.
