Hello. I'm Trismite, both IGN, Forum name, and etc. Here's my application for the Player Guide position. Thank you for reading this and I hope you consider me.
Average Time Spent Online Every Day:
Depends. On the weekdays I usually spent 8-9 hours online while having the forum on another tab, an hour before going to school and the rest after I finish my schoolwork. Sometimes when I'm only revising I have the game playing on my laptop. For weekends though, I spend about 15 hours at the least, from 9 am to 12 midnight. Of course this varies as to what time I woke up and if I'm out spending time with family.
Time Most Often Online (With Time Zone): I'm from GMT +8, from the Philippines. I'm most often online after 2pm since my classes end around that time. This continues until midnight.
Familiarity With Naruto:
In my country, we had Naruto playing with Filipino dubs every Saturday. As a kid I often woke up just to watch it. Of course, once I found out about the wonders of the internet (a few years late) I ended up watching the whole series (minus a few fillers) in Filipino, English, and Japanese sub. I read the manga but since I can't afford it I might be missing a few chapters. Movies are fully watched and bought. While the games are all bought, I have a collection of them at home. I'm also quite a huge fan of Naruto that I've read a huge number of Fanfictions, I know it doesn't truly convince a person that I know about the anime but it does show that I have an understanding of the characters and certain plot points.
Reasons For The Application:
First of all, Experience. I may not be a budding game developer or anything in the computer science major but I wish to continue building up my repertoire of gaming experience. From admining to moderating to even just helping around, all of that builds up to gaining colleagues, connections, experience, attitude (leadership/friendliness), etc. while having fun. I've started 5 years ago, helped as much as I could, retired from a few forums yet maintained the experiences I learned.
Second, Enjoyment. A typical answer but an answer nonetheless. I enjoy chatting with people, much more online than in real life. I enjoy helping others, having them be thankful, then slowly continue chatting until I gained another friend. There's also a feeling of happiness whenever I log in, talk to people online and see how happy they are that I'm there. Sure, I get the same feeling when I part of a group ingame but there's a slight difference.
Lastly, Knowledge. Yes, you should know a lot when applying for this job. Know how to create a powerful team, the advantage/disadvantage of a main character, how to get this certain character but you can still learn more. From what I've experienced, you may know a lot about the game but you limit yourself when you're not being asked questions. I want to learn everything about this game, from the large events to the tiniest detail and this position can help reach my goal. Just by having that one person ask me something I don't know, pouring effort in finding that answer, and sure enough, I gained something in return of having this job.
Languages You Know: Filipino and English. I'd say more but I'm only a grade one on the rest of the languages I know.
