When you get to a certain point in the Survival trail (I forgot when exactly) at the bottom of the xcreen you'll see what looks like the Hokage Tower (Red building) click on that and you'll go to the trail (Practice?) breakthrough. Hope this is what you meant?

It is indeed in Survival Trial tab, I believe it opens on the 10th level of the trial. I will attach a screenshot with the exact location with it.
