No, I'd put the gourd on your main character (assuming they're in pos 3), or your pos 4 ninja.

My Gourd is being used by my Position 2 since usually, Position 2's are the units that you use for Control since I was using Kakuzu [Earth Grudge Fear] team with Itachi [Edo Tensei] as my Position 2 before. Taking advantage of the Control Stats from the Gourd Treasured Tool.

That's fair.

The pos 2 control ninja teams are pretty common but not every team has that same dynamic. My reasoning with putting the gourd on main is that often the main is the support, the glue that holds the whole team together, so they benefit from the defensive nature of the gourd and the possibility to not get controlled. The gourd gives + defense, resistance, and control which is useful on a support - even if the main can just stay on the field a little longer, it can help. But I think if you run a control team it makes sense to put the gourd on your pos 2.

I guess the overall point is that you probably want to put it on a support ninja not a pos 1 ninja.
