Well its because there's no amazing action scenes and sad stories even theres not alot of JIRAIYA's scenes in boruto thats why its not famous as Naruto
Edit: Also because Masashi kishimoto didnt wrote boruto story whereas he wrote naruto story in sadness :D

LOoooooOL, what about boruto's story, u mean he didn't write it at all, or he didn't write it in the same gloomy way he wrote naruto?
yes Masashi kishimoto didnt wrote boruto He is kinda Supervisor only and its Fat guy writing *king boruto and other anime that make me and others sleep while watching boruto Within 3-5 seconds which is a WORLD RECORD!!
anyways the way that fat guy named Ukyo Kodachi wrote boruto it made whole anime worst and made naruto too boring :P if masashi kishimoto wrote boruto he would make naruto scenes 45% and boruto scenes 55%

Actually Boruto is very popular in Japan maybe even more then Naruto was, manga not so much but Boruto anime was never kicked out of top 5 since it started in Japan and other asian countries. Go look up it's ratings.
If you don't like it, it's fine but sayin it's doing bad is just wrong, it has 0 chance of being canned it's doing rly good, if it gets canceld in Europe and America they probably wouldn't even care lol.
listen pal alot of people see boruto because they want a Time pass or if they couldnt sleep thats why me and everyone still watch that anime and its ranking depends upon Views tho and it isnt really in favoruite list etc

Maybe you do it, but you would be a minority not a lot of people and i don't even watch it as well cause i grew out of it, i watched the movie and decided meh not really for me, but that doesn't mean it's bad or not popular.
Boruto is popular and doing good, they don't really care about old Naruto viewers currently lots of kids about 15~ love that anime and never seen Naruto before, just like we did when we first saw Naruto, that's who they aim that anime for and it's working, just go google Tokyo TV rankings and you see how insanely popular Boruto is.
pal if u ask watchers of boruto they will say you one thing "JUST FOR TIME PASS WE SEE THAT xP" once u see boruto u will sleep too xDDD

its truth okay now time for Opinion
Heres my suggestion
ukyo kodachi should make a good looking villains having their Sad stories that make us really feel Sad as with pain and others in Naruto and also there should be naruto's 45% scenes in which he go to village by himself and use kurama mode with sasuke to beat powerful enemy that destroyed every thing something like that

Hmm.
To be honest, I do watch Boruto just to see things related to Naruto (The rumors whether he dies or not, being thrown into different dimensions and such). I'm currently stacking episodes and waiting for a good time or free time to watch it all (The last episode I saw was the one where Boruto babysit a Lord's son). Overall, I'm still one of the guys who love the original Naruto and Shippuden anime since that's the thing of my generation and the hype for Boruto, not too much for me.
we still love naruto anime more than boruto Because of naruto we watch boruto to see Naruto actions and story etc but still boruto is boring anime whenever i want to sleep unwantedly for college I watch boruto and suddenly fell asleep
