What do you mean by 'causing'? As in, applies no status debuffs (ignite/paralysis/etc)?
I think they mean chase status mostly. Can't start a chase chain with most of these units because they don't have knockdown/low float/repulse/high float in their mysteries. English just may not be their primary language.
