if your main char is not using his jutsu or his turn regardless of initiative then.

imo either your main char has been sealed by some opponent effect or there is a bug.

you should test if it applies to all your fights or only just maybe it happened to one or two fights and try to see if the error reoccur.

if it seemed to be a reoccurring bug in all ur fights, you should report it to the bug and support section of the forums.

First of all, the standard rule between the battles is "Whoever has the highest Initiative will Standard/Skill first" but there are some scenarios where this rule gets bypassed.

1. If you are using "Non-Prompt" Mystery Skill. For example, your ninja is placed as your Position 1 ninja, you used his "Non-Prompt" skill. If your opponent used a skill that is a "Prompt" Mystery Skill, then regardless of the position it will go first. This is because "Non-Prompt" Mystery Skills have to wait for their turn before they can cast or release their skills. Ninjas like Yamato, Sasuke, Pain - Jigokudo, Anko, and some other more are like this.

2. If your opponent has much more Initiative than you. For example, your Position 1 ninja has 10k Initiative and your opponent's Position 2 has 20k or more Initiative, in this case, your opponent's Position 1 and Position 2 will move first or use skill first before your Position 1.

Now, in your case. You are talking about Main Characters and as far as I know, all of Main Character's Mystery Skills are Prompt Skills. If your Main Character always moves first or releases skills first then your other ninja in first position slots might be using a Non-Prompt Mystery Skills or your Main Character has more Initiative than your other ninjas.

One more thing that could have happened is "Slowdown" status, most caused by Naruto (s**y jutsu) at current times. Units that have slowdown have their turns last. Seeing main pos 1 with slow use their prompt skill after opponents entire team up to pos 4 and/or clones have used their standard is something that can be seen this way.
