Hey guys, I am just curious and wanted to know if all the Pains aren't technically Edo Tensei units as well? If they are, maybe that could improve their utility in the game, otherwise, just curious to find out if I missed something whilst watching the series. Thanks in advance

Sorry for posting again, I can't seem to edit my original post. Just wanted to expand on my point.

Hey guys, I am just curious and wanted to know if all the Pains aren't technically Edo Tensei units as well? They are all reanimated versions of people that are already dead (like Yahiko) and are being controlled by Nagato, the same way that reanimated units are being controlled by Kabuto during the Great Ninja War. If they are, maybe that could improve their utility in the game, otherwise, just curious to find out if I missed something whilst watching the series. Thanks in advance

The pain vessels were never revived from Edo Tensei. Rather I believe the ability to create the 6 paths of pain come from the rinnegan and the black chakra rods that the pains have on their bodies. I understand that Obito's 6 paths of pain are Edo Tensei Jinchuuriki, however I am fairly certain that Nagato did not know how to cast Edo Tensei, nor did he know anyone who could use Edo Tensei.
