If you want full damage, I would put your mood to Ninjutsu and reduce hp.

If you hover over his skills you'll see his mystery is Tai and Nin, as well as his standard. His chase is Nin. His ninjutsu growth stat is massive whilst his attack growth stat is tiny, definitely Ninjutsu.

Here's WB Asuma's skills. From the looks of it, both Tai and Nin are used. However, his chases is only Nin. Therefore, I would raise Nin as the + mood, but not reduce Tai as well, lest you miss out on the additional damage he can create from his Mystery and standard attack.

His growth stat for Tai is rather low, but nonetheless you don't want to get rid of it, HP would imo be the best due to the fact that his passive (Pose of invincibility) triggers at max hp, not a set amount of hp and as it is you don't want to lose resistance or defence.
