As far as I know, there are no changes that happened to the way of using vials to get a maxed skill trial or skill breakthrough but I also want to remind you that the chances of getting a Gold Skill drops when you already have some locked Gold Skill. All of it relies on your chances or the so-called RNG by other players, so make sure to observe and keep tabs of your spending. If you think you already spent a lot on getting a maxed skill then stop and reevaluate your situation. If you think that you've spent a lot already then better stop and take a rest rather than pursuing your urge to take chances trying to get a maxed skill or you will end up spending more than the price that would cost you if you take the fragments way. Lol, dont try using skill trial to get 5 gold ones ever, extremely rare, and usually wasted tons of cpns as last skill costs 4 protections every time. I would recomend going for 4 at most.

I would hardly call that bad luck.

I am incredibly unlucky ive used 360 advanced vials on kakuzu, but still no usefull break for me, he may aswel still be 3 star.

but even taking my own experience out of the matter, 20 isnt a lot, I dont know of anyone on my group that has got a decent break skill with 20 vials, sorry to be a bearer of bad news, but in this game, 20 isnt bad luck. not the way oasis screw with us, frankly you'd have to be either blessed, barely active or a mod to get a break with that number
