To those who don't already know, the Sanin Youth Packs available to redeem in the goldfish event this week, originally gave 80 of each fragment instead of 1, allowing those who logged on in the early morning to get those ninja at a massive discount. This was presumably a mistake, as this was changed in the early morning hours before most players even had the chance to login. It's the Cloak Sakura thing all over again.
Well during the aforementioned debacle involving cloak sakura, the same action was taken, with the event changing after only a few short hours with the vast majority of players being out of luck. Thankfully, Oasis recognizing the problems created by this, shortly came out to announce a way of making of making amends to the players who missed out. it's been some time now, so I can't recall the details on what was done, though perhaps someone else here, can give more detailed info on how that event transpired.
So I wanted to make sure people were informed on what happened, and open up the conversation going forward, as this week continues on. Hopefully we'll be hearing from someone about this really soon
Hello.
We have noticed this issue right after we finished the maintenance. We took servers down again for emergency maintenance and fixed this issue. This situation is different from the one with Sakura/Sasuke pack because we were able to take actions right away (as you've mentioned, it was early morning for these servers/players) and not that many players (if any) were able to abuse this issue.
With that being said, at the moment we do not plan to send any compensation, nor return the packs back to the redeemable shop. While I do not know the exact number of players atm, we will check it. We apologize for this situation.
one thing I can assure you of is that this wasn't a number equal to 0 as the army of people gloating by sending screenshots of the sanin packs they got (such as in discord), and all the players transformed into young Tsunade to show off that they got it. At least 10 people in my group got em, alone
some of you are luckier to be insulated from it, but for many of us, social media is full of people laughing at their screenshots like this
poor compensation is better than no compensation. With how things have been recently, I think this is more of a principle thing, where the idea is a show of good faith. However, with Daiske curtailing that idea, at least for the moment, I suppose this is just further vindication for all the people in the process of receiving recharge refunds from paypal and their banks.
That's why they don't have to compensate those ninjas are useless, and will not affect the game at all.
That's how you feel but it's obviously not how Oasis feels, or else they would be giving away these and any other useless ninja, all the time. Either they have value or they don't, and you can't argue that they don't have value if they are being sold at such rates, even if only for collection purposes.
