Using Vials for obtaining Skill Breakthroughs or Skill Trials basically relies on Chances or the so-called RNG by players. For some people, they might get it instantly the moment they pressed the bụtton for the first time but some people might take 10s to 100s before getting the skill that they want. In your case, you're one of the peoples whose on the road of the latter ones. Anyways, I do advise you to keep tabs of your spendings and if you think that it is already hopeless then maybe you should take a break and plan for your next step, rather than letting your urge to get the skill and not noticing you've spent way more than the price if you will take the fragments way.
