Well, if it's same on different PCs, then it's obviously internet problem. Does it also occurs while using browser? It happens, probably, almost in most of the cases when you are connecting to cross server?
Try using VPN then. Or changing DNS to google domain.

  • Different PCs and different locations with different internet set ups. The work location even uses a VPN. The crashes can happen at any time, and place for instance this morning it happened using assist link, and again while just traveling on foot for convoy. Haven't tried browser yet, but I might. I'll look into google DNS as well

Might be in all cases same internet provider. If DNS doesn't help, then it's clients fault. If you won't have same issue with a browser, you could try using older client in that case. (i'll find a link for it, if needed)
