id say jonin minato with bond mystery is the best with edo being a close close second with there position being able to switch

edo minato has a free burn plus and undodgeable mystery but has a 3 turn cooldown and can easily be stop with a Y variant Gakido but can still do quite a lot despite

jonin minato can upscale with chases like edo but his can reset his mystery and tag that and his bond mystery can hit the entire line up

Hokage Minato is there weaker of the 3 which is funny consider hes like his most bad @ss in the anime at that point but hes kinda a one and done he can hurt really bad when he uses his mystery cause of the like 5 attacks he has plus mysy but after that hes kinda just a sitting duck. plus the over abundance of full immune teams and shisui kinda power creep him by a lot

From my experience. If you are top sage players Edo Minato is better than Jonin Minato.

As long as you have good control and chakra drain or some sort, which is not that difficult with BT Ningendo and then reset with Wind Main. You probably won't need to reset, he would probably 1 shot entire team.

I am pretty sure Edo Minato is the only Minato, who does Tai / Nin with his mystery (I don't have him, someone needs to confirm), therefore he can do damage to Madara Founder.

His (assist link) barrier is probably one of the best in the game right now also.

A lot of players use Jonin and Edo Minato because he doens't require set up like Hokage.

My friends and I still use Hokage Minato to buff in GNW, since there are too many Naruto 6P.

i use hokage minato and like him better than jonin. (don't have him with bond mystery yet). I understand that there is a reliance on tag but he can be a power house on round 2 if you have your main tag with pakun from mystery. Plus every action (2 at most per turn) is 100% guaranteed to increase atk and combo unlike jonin where he needs to chase the opponent to get the upper hand in fights. I don't have edo minato yet either but im trying to get him to see which one i like the most

all three is a must imo they all have there purpose

If you want to be polyvalent with minato, just go for hokage.
I buy myself minato jonin but i am full of regrets. Hokage is very strong 1v1 ninja and suit with many teams, but also more usefull for ninja exam, gnw, 2v2 etc If i could go back in the past, i'll buy the Hokage.

The edo minato do not worth his price at moment, imo. Since you need edo hashirama for his bond, it's kinda difficult to use it properly. 3 rounds cooldown kill him. But he still have immunity + dodge + underrated passif which cause tag + ignite
But when edo minato will get his breakthrought, he will outclass the 2 other minato so far.

As an owner of all 3 minatos, it largely depends on a ton of factors. I am fairly high powered and have a decently stack pos1 int, so I usually run edo minato because with his undodgeable mystery (and someone who steals chakra) makes all those 6 path narutos cry. If I was not as high powered, I would probably go for Hokage Minato because of the resistance buff and if you have a shisui or a Konan [Angel of God], there's your tags for the enhanced mystery. I definitely had fun doing 3 minato mysteries in a row using wind main dance of inputus. The kunai passive is always going to hit so he stacks more reliably than the other minatos. Minato [Jonin] is both the weakest and the cheapest (so theres one good thing about him). He needs his bond mystery to be useable and is good when paired with a 5kage madara and a susanoo kakashi.

Problem is, like most things in the game, who to go for solely relies on what ninjas you have, what your playstyle is, what your power is, and what ninjas you typically go up against. I tend to go up against 6 path narutos and temporary immunity ninjas so my main team is usually edo minato and 5 kage madara with someone else mixed in (just got edo hashirama so its been him).

It depends on what you plan to do with Minato. Hokage has the best stacking mechanism, Edo mystery can't miss, but Jonin has a reset mechanism allowing him to possibly use mystery every round (Edo will someday get skillbreak that gives him a reset mechanism, too, but not yet). On the other hand, Edo has immunity while Hokage an Jonin don't, in turn, Hokage gives whole team a 40% res buff which is OP af, while the other 2 don't. But then, both Jonin and Hokage can actively spread tag while Edo can only do it passively. In term of chase, Hokage has 0 chase, Edo can't chase his own combo, only Jonin can combo with himself. So overall, it really depends on who you plan to use Minato with and what you want to do with him that decides which Minato is best fit for the specific job you have in mind. There's no downright "best" Minato, only best ones for certain situation.

I have hokage minato and I fricking hate him unless he tags someone and keeps it on them for at least 2 rounds witch is pretty much impossible nowadays with all the immune/dodge ninjas running around and when I do hit people with it gets cleared instantly by ninjas or mains that clear the tag off jonin minato is by far the best one in my opinion because of his joint bond mystery edo minato is awesome too but he doesent do all that much damage unless u stack him really well

edo minato full breaktrough is OP

as someone above me edo minto has BT and i see he will be a meta with his breakthroughs as i heard. I dont have him yet but i think hes like a tier of Hokage minato since i dont have Hokage Minato only jonin Minato with bond mystery he will be useful since hes goes through dodge.

Cough... Cough... 5 rounds of +40% resistance to everybody... Cough... Cough... Selfstacking even if you can't chase...

I love how my question sparked so many people to give their opinions. While I did learn more about each strengths and weaknesses, the only clear thing is that no one can agree on this. Thanks for the responses. I'm gonna sit with my Hokage Minato and when I ever get a chance to get the other Minato (light spender and my next ninja I also shooting for is Shisui) I will test them myself and see what my conclusion is.

When you ask for people on the forum you're gonna get a lot of different opinions. That's just how this game works. When I was 100k-150k, I exclusively used hk Minato, shisui, wind main, and kurenai skill break

Well, to resume :

- Hokage is the more "balanced", because he suits with MANY teams, very good at 1v1, gnw, 2v2, exam etc. He do not relly on chase to scale, his passiv HURT, his resistance buff is op, his auto deal so much dmg and his mystery deals more than the Jonin's bond

- Jonin is very good when you own initiative + madara 5k. He do not suit with many teams because of his chases. For me he is the worst. His bond do nice damage, but 1 turn / 2.
- Edo is a "noob stomper" atm. Do not even try to get him if you don't own initiative in the majority of your fights. He needs edo hashi for his godlike bond, hard for him to scale since he do not chase from himself. But he can't be control'd, and it's a fcking good thing! He is still very good for space time :3 Less damage than the hokage, less than the jonin'd bond, but he hit throught dodge and interrupt.

Hokage minato with chinese naruto is really awesome 4 standards for 2 rounds with 30% increased crits

for me jonin minato with bond and stats .. not only the hero itself, actually i saw a lot of players always investing on better ninja but dont have a great stats .. its only my opinion =)

Not just Edo Hashi

You need Edo 1,2 and 3 for his barrier bond, (and bond materials).

Most expensive barrier in the game, thus one of the best.

He means Edo Hashi is hardest to get between all 3 edo hokage. Most likely if you are going for his bond you will finish Edo Hashi last
