Than go ahead and ring up the government John, this is a "serious" matter after all. It's not like people have rights and they chose to spend, weather the rng is "rigged" or not, they still proceed to do so at their own expense.
Literally the dumbest thing ever posted that I've read. Gambling is illegal under the age of 21 in the United States (not counting Indian reservation casinos that aren't bound by government stipulations). Running an illegal gambling scheme is.....**gasp** illegal. There are ALOT of players here that aren't over 21.
Also, by law (China Law as well) the odds of any jackpot prize is to be LISTED IN PLAIN TEXT AND VIEW. Rigging a system so that a player loses 100% IS ILLEGAL.....have it involve money and gambling, you can bet your ass the FBI will be on you like flies to s#!t. Make no mistake, Oasis is breaking the law as it is currently written now (China's law since the over a year ago) by not revealing the odds of specific prizes when it pertains to RNG.
The fact that you think its completely OK for minors to gamble....AND believe that people getting cheated on a rigged system is ok because "it was their choice" is an early sign of mental illness and you should get checked out by a doctor.

Oh sorry police officer. Maybe try ringing up the government aswell Shyuko. Just trying to prove that writing paragraphs to me and making empty threats to oasis is all just a waste of time. Much like those protestors who choose to protest in the middle of a highway or such, it will only result in you getting run over. But i mean A for effort I guess.

So are you saying people shouldn't use the forums to express their opinions and concerns towards the way the game is being handled? What a conformist and retrograde mindset you have, to be honest.
PD: Take out that pfp, its disgusting.
For once i really want these types of games, to have some some regulations by the government, to forbid, a game that's meant to be played even by kids, then have the audacity to push money grab deals...just seems absurd, similar to what happened in Belgium, i applaud the country to take that step, there's people out there who actually have an addiction to gambling.

Your pfp is a sleeping anime girl. You're using all these advanced words, yet you hide behind a picture of a little anime girl. I now see why u dislike my picture, because it's not an underaged anime girl. Sorry man not everyone can support your odd f3tish.

I don't remember having use any complex word in my post, what do you consider complex? because if you really did then we have a problem here. Also, the fact you need to focus your comment on my PD and attack me on that, tells a lot about how much you can't sustain your argument... also, mature, boy.
People has right to complain when money has been put in the game, and this game in particular has players that spend insane amounts of it everyday. Oasis knows they are playing with fire, and soon or later they might pay the consecuences out of it, be it with sues or having to close the game due to people leaving it.
Unfortunately the new refines aren't the start of all these self-harming decisions oasis has taken for the game, nor will be the end, i fear.

Okay so first of all, not sure if you noticed but you brought up the whole profile picture thing first. Second of all, am I mature or am I a boy? You're very counterintuitive.

Yeah when signing up back in 1.0 days I never received any type of notice claiming I must be 18+ to play this game. There is gambling and I could say a good chunk of the players are under the age of 18. Not sure exactly what the law china passed from what I have seen it only mentions loot box percentages. CSGO gambling was shut down due to under age gambling and CSGO is pretty popular, but still took a long time to get the gambling shut down. I do agree percent chances should be shown, but not sure if they even have them listed in China. I would be ok for say if in the wheel Sus Kakashi was a .5% chance to land on. I just don't think anyone should take a chance and spend money on an rng event where you don't even know the odds of winning. People have gotten Sus Kakashi on my server though, so there is a chance.

Well like most things, its rarely simple. The First principle is only in China and similar are stuff like loot boxes are considered gambling and illegal, reason for the the whole must show % thing. As for the CsGo one, that from my understanding was not on the loot box side, but rather that people were using weapon skins as basically poker chips to bet on matches. Reason for it being scrutinized being that its basically the same as betting on a horse race or a sports game, i.e your betting against other players and have the chance to make nothing. Now this is were wheel events and the like are tricky in the states. Cause in functionality its more like a capsule prize machine then actual gambling, basically being the distinction is that even if its a prize you don't like its still something, with the main gray area that said ob

Betting on matches was one part, but people were using skins to gamble against other players in 1 pot multiple people enter and 1 person wins it all. Technically that's how one ingot sales work. There is paid currency only and people gamble on an item and 1 person wins. Pretty much the definition of gambling. I would like to believe everything that is being done with rng/gambling events is completely legal otherwise something would of been done on the CN side a long time ago.

if you think that is "serious" instead of serious... then why a lot of european countries banned lootboxes in games? this argument of "people have the right to chose where to spend" is the most idiotic from a psychological point of view... because simply... it's only an illusion of choice...
Cuz gambling is a serious matter, and when u have the pointless argument of "it's ur choice" it's not, for people who have an addiction it's not a choice, it's a problem, if you do your research, you'll see alot of people have a gambling addiction, there's even an article about a player in PoE asking for help to prevent him to buy lootboxes, cuz he couldnt stop, lucky enough the support helped him, and advise him professional help.

0.5% is really optimistic tbh.
There is another game I played and it shows percentage in the loot box, for the ultimate cards are 0.035%
But there are lot of people got them, including myself. Not even sure if that 0.035% is real percentage.
