What difference does it make which timezone server one chooses?

Thanks for the info on the time zone. Do any of you know when the time of the events will be? I am on PST but depending on the time I may prefer to use EST if it works better for my schedule of when I can play.:D

Thank you, very helpful info. Can you mods ask the admin if they are willing to provide the schedule next week before the launch so that we know which server best suits our individual schedules? That would be great to know for signing up on game day!
