they change it in order to "force" people into spending... a lot of high power had to buy the rest of the cave keys with coupons when they did it early...
No one forced anyone. If player have head on his shoulders, he just saves them for next rebate, and skips currently. I don't see problem in that. Only inexperienced wastes coups on such things.
