I'll try to run it down for you but anyone else is free to correct me if I'm wrong:

-A chance means there is literally just a chance of triggering. Can be affected with combo rate

- A given chance means there is a starting amount of chance to trigger. Can be affected with combo rate

- A fixed chance means there is kind of a 50-50 chance of triggering. Cannot be affected with combo rate

- A small chance means there is a relatively low chance of triggering. Can be affected with combo rate

- high chance and very high chance is relatively the same the only difference being the likelihood of getting triggered. Can be affected with combo rate

- A certain chance is ambiguous. It works like "given chance" and still unsure if it gets affected by combo rate.

As for calculations, I haven't come across any that I know of. But based on my experiences and observations (this is just a face-value amount)

- chance and given chance below 50%

- fixed chance can range from 50-50 to below or above 50%

-small chance is below 30%

-high and very high are both usually above 50%

-certain chance again is ambiguous and varies (seemingly random)

Again this is all based on what I have observed on my own characters and fights I've been through and is just a rough estimation. If anyone is willing to do the math or already has the math on hand, please do share

  • Hi! The forum is actually a very good resource for information.

Here are two threads that have talked a little more detail regarding it. Keep in mind there is no exact % chance at the moment, but it does give an idea regarding what they mean.

    Thread 1

    Thread 2

A chance, small chance, high chance, and very high chance all means exactly what it says, it is a potential chance to hit while also being affected by the Combo Stat. The higher your combo stat is to the opponent, the higher the chance you hit. For example, a small chance would have a smaller base value chance to hit than a high chance.

Fixed chance on the other hand is not affected by Combo Stat and Certain hit is exactly what it says, it is certain to hit unless otherwise stated by a ninja's ability.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for linking those threads Jib! I somehow got it in my head that Nagato and edo tobirama's attacks are "certain" but are actually not.
