Hello everyone!
After a month of taking a break from this game, I have finally returned. The main reason I took a break was because I would often get mad at the game, and post rage threads on the forums. Over the last few days of returning, I changed the way I viewed certain things in the game, and it has helped me stay calm, and not get mad at trivial subjects such as someone in my server getting a p2w ninja through rng, or getting clicked by spenders over and over again in swb. I'm not sure how many people will read this thread, but I figured I'd share some strategies to cope with the salt that comes with this game.
First, do not compare yourself to other players. While competition is good motivation, it is not wise to compare yourself to other players in your server. This game is heavily ba
Second, set goals. For me, I remember a time when I consulted moderator Jiburiru and I was convinced into purchasing edo asuma through the lucky board event. Jib told me that later on, edo hiruzen would be released, and edo asuma would work great with him. After I got my edo asuma, I immediately regretted my actions, as edo asuma by himself is abysmal. I'm not saying that Jib cannot be trusted, as he reassured me that edo asuma would be useful in the long run, and now I am determined to get my edo hiruzen. With my goal of getting my own edo hiruzen set, I will not be as tempted to spend on random rng events for premium ninjas I don't even need, or will not work well with my current ninjas.
Finally, think of your game as nothing more than a game. It sounds *, but believe it or not in the end, Naruto Online is just a game designed for your amu*t. If you're not having fun, take a break. I know how hard it is to turn your back on this game, as this game has a ton of rankings, and you always want to stay on top, but if a game gets to the point where it feels like a job, you should just take a break. You don't need to take a long break, just long enough for you to clear your mind, and remember that you didn't spend any real money, so you technically have no reason to get upset, as Oasis didn't "rob" you.
Hopefully this thread helped you get over your anger towards this game. If you (the reader) also have some ways to cope with salt, be sure to share your insight in the comments. Have a good day.
Over all great read.
Me personally, I had set a goal a long time ago, get as many ninjas as possible before I get a new PC. Then when that happens I'll leave the game and play WoW again. I never cared about rankings in games so I never found myself to get as much power as possible. I like the fact that you can collect a lot of ninjas (I have pretty close to 150 ninjas). I also love doing shenanigans in the game such as using Normal Asuma with Itachi for essentially an infinite mystery despite being terrible.
I have gotten myself to 140k (on power team or 135k with Edo Hiruzen) and another character to 144k and a 3rd to 80k with the latter 2 focusing on power.
Everyone else on my server is 150k+
I never really bothered with SWB, Matsuri, or even Bonds. The only PvP I do is Arena, 3v3 and GNW which is the only PvP that matters to me. Only reason I opt out of SWB/Matsuri/Bonds is because I refuse to feed higher power players in those events and I know I will face them. Meanwhile doing say 9tails and Jin can still let me get the resources I need (although slower than people who do participate in SWB and Matsuri).
Because of these things I have never really needed a break as I focused on myself rather than who gets what. So currently, I'm saving to 20k to get another 20k ninja or so. Maybe, it will be Madara GNW (white mask obito), or I'll pick up Edo Itachi, Edo Minato, Rinnegan Sasuke, or even just save for Jinchuriki Madara whenever that is released again. No idea, though I really should work on upping my refines a bit on edo hiruzen so I can have him a bit stacked since I played this game keeping all my power spread out.
Hell I have an ingot only ninja (Tenten [Cheongsam]) which I grabbed when it was in Fate as a redeemable.
personally, i have no issue with f2ps, since I am a f2p long long ago on many many games.
I totally know the grind and desire. Thou now I certainly can be a p2w if I want to.
these days i call myself a f2p free to pay, but free 2 play like to label those who spend more than them as pay 2 win instead.
normally when i got label as such, i just don't react since it doesn't apply to me.
one thing i can second on, such a game is one against oneself, rather than against the other players or against the system.
my merge server still has free to play and like most of the times, they outlast many paid players who move on faster to other things.
Idd i always said to my groupmates, set yourself a goal, wether be getting a ninja, or getting certain amount of power, you have more fun like that, it's a thing of our brain, when you try to compare and see others stronger than you beating other people, you get demoralized, just play to have fun, and yes sometimes *s to be destroyed by stronger power people, but guess what, at the end of the day, no one cares who's the strongest, who won last sage, or got the 1st on nine tails, cuz it's a game, have fun, one last point, as far as i know, no one wins money playing this, so dont get angry, no point.

Wise words and agreed
Yeah I understand this post completely. I am a f2p and it's hard to keep up with ptws/whales nowadays so I discussed with my group about this issues and suddenly realized that I am still playing this game so I can stay in contact with my group mates and friends that I made. That is also including supporting each other and actually having fun as well too. I am just glad my group helped me a lot to get bigger views on this game and simply to have fun. Like UchihaShay said above, it's no point to get angry over this game. My in game goal is to become one of the strongest f2p ever in the game so I am just here to have fun and enjoying with my group despite lotta players labeled me "ptw" for having SS itachi when I am the first f2p to get him. Hopefully y'all feel this way to have fun and that's it~
