So Great Plates, arguably one of the best events in my opinion is held back for another week. Brings down this event cycle and disappointed.

  • Unfortunately, Madara is NOT "technically free".
You are still spending $3,000 to unlock him for your account.
However, you don't get to keep him. If for any reason your account gets stolen, locked up, or the game goes under.
You just handed someone $3,000 for nothing.

Same logic is applied to anything in any micro transaction game.
The price tag of entertainment is terrible in these types of games.

My money is on "the game goes under." I usually prefer a practical, wait and see approach but the over eagerness of releases ninja wise and ignoring skill breaks for a large part speaks volumes in my opinion. I understand the notion of wanting to make a profit, but when you're pushing that envelope in such a way it's at the expense of the game itself on a constant basis that's trouble. To skip a long ramble, Oasis is focusing on current gains; slash and burning this game rather than considering a long term investment with the idea of making it better. They could make more money doing the latter, but they do not want to wait and it's almost as if they're in a hurry for some reason. Also it appears that they do not care about the future of the game following that logic. I like recharging but this has reached the point I have become wary of doing so.

  • Twisted Logic.

    1) They had to provide value during this Month because of the 3k recharge

    2) Naruto Online is still much cheaper than many of it's competitors like LoA2, where whales spend 100-300$ every single day.

    3) The same players have been crying for 6 months straight and are still not quitting. Nobody cares about empty threats.

I think the best way to counter your response is your assumption they "have" to do something. They do not. I will agree with you in a different aspect after thinking on it though and we'll see if we can meet in the middle. It would make sense to offer value as you've mentioned, because once they have others already having spent a good deal they have more incentive to continue to do so. They'd want to meet the milestones and have the mindset "Well I've already put in this much, I might as well. There's value and it would be a waste otherwise." That makes sense to me.

As for the second I'm judging this game on its own. I feel like trying to compare it to others is a slippery slope since I likely wouldn't have familiarity with those you mentioned and can't give an accurate response. I would in a sense just be spouting hot air and that's a waste of time. As for the same players, I wouldn't know much about that either. I do think Flash ending for lack of a better term is very relevant and there needs to be clear cut communication about the future of this game as a result.

Edit: On a side note these word filters are obnoxious as all get out.
