They absolutely do not do the same work better......They work in a similar fashion, but each Tsunade has a better use depending on the situation.
If you can pick up Hokage Tsunade frags by piecing them together and not go out of your way for them, then she is a good deal....as was the case for her being on the lucky stars wheel both times. Anyone saying that her healing in is worse than the other versions really doesn't know what they are talking about. In 3v3, GNW, Ranked battle, Hokage Tsunade does NOT have an equal. While there are better healing ninjas for utility NOW for pvp 1v1, etc, back then she was top notch.....as she was the only one of her kind.I wouldn't advocate going out of your way for her.....especially since she is supposed to be added into tendo treasure along with Tobirama. (1000~1200 pulls I believe when the get off their lazy rear ends and actually add them like they should have been already....but no incentive cause no immediate $$$), there are better things to spend your coupons on. She isn't as essential as say, 6P Naruto, Edo Hashirama, etc. If she goes into another Lucky Stars and you can redeem in there for something AND get her at the same time, by all means, go for it.
But to say that she is beat out by lesser versions, that is just laughable. If that were the case, she would be thrown out there constantly.
As far as you are able to hit 100 chakra when tsunade sannin era turn comes she heals more than hokage. Yes, it may be harder to achieve it (not really these days), but the big katsuyu stilll heals more than hokage standard attack and gets dealed to the 3 teams even if you are blinded.
That said what the op asked is if was worth to buy the other 30 frags.
My reply to him is: yes, it is, if and only if they appear in an event at 100/120 coupons each one at most.
But since the previous so far not only never happened but never even came close to happen, the the answer for the op is what garv told him: no, not even remotely woth the 10k coupons they pretend for 30 frags.
So the point is: is she worth her current price per frag?
The answer is no, not even remotely worth.

I'll give my two cents as I own all 3 Tsunade's. (With a fully skillbroken and experimented Tsunade [Sannin Era])
If you can pick up the rest of her fragments for less than 9.6k (cost of Tsunade [Young Adult]), go for it. Tsunade [Hokage] is definitely still pretty good in all aspects of the game and there are only slight differences where it would be optimal but not mandatory to use one over the other. (But if you have Tsunade [Young Adult], I would not try to get Hokage fragments)
Tsunade [Sannin Era], although I have used her a little bit with the skill experiment immunity giving mystery, I still never use this variant. I just have other ninjas that fulfill a similar role to a lineup healer. I have also never had a problem going against a Tsunade [Sannin Era] with any lineup I have run. So to reply to Garv who said that she outclasses everyone in a 1v1, funny.
She outclasses both hokage and sannin era in 1vs1 if your goal (and i don't see what other goal you may have if you use them in your team) is to endure eventually up to round 10.
Why is better?
Because since round 3 onwards, if you skillbroken her, she will land 3 standard attacks per round + 2 chases with critical boost (so you are almost granted to chaos whoever is in front of her, unless is immune, while also delivering to it 3 stacks of poison if you run water main every round) and she will heal your whole team TWICE per round (that means, most of the times, to almost surely letting your team wake up and get back hps on the 2nd application).
And last but not least, you have her 5 stars for free that means she is fatter and endure hits way way better than any 3star hokage or sannin era you may run.
Her mystery skill trials may be useful in specific lineups, but not in real immortal lineups. In that case you simply use the basic skillbreaktroughs.
P.S. Hokage is better than sannin with sbs in 1vs1 only if you use her with earth main and kurama naruto, but you need to use both and that the enemy don't run buff clearers, otherwise she is worse even here.

I got Hokage Tsunade from crazy slot machine a long time ago after recharging $5 for monthly card (that was the only time game ever gave me anything nice), so I never knew how long/much it cost to piece her together. But about her usage, she's still among one of the best healers in the game, but she's pretty situational. What Hokage Tsunade have over Sannin War/Sannin Era Tsunade is 9-12 unit heals, which if you stack earth shield+2 other Hokage Tsunade in gnw against opponents who don't have way too much BP advantage over you, can make your opponents hate you very very much. Otherwise, Hokage Tsunade is also decent in Bonds and ranked battle lineup. She's also one of the option for perma-chaos variations, since her passives allows better healing/surviability. However, she's weak against constant focus and too much cc/debuff stacked. Full bt Sannin war Tsunade is better in general 1v1 environment, and I don't have enough experience on Sannin Era Tsunade to comment on her. So is she a nice ninja to have? Yes. Is she absolutely necessary? Well, that depends on what you want her for.
2vs2 and 3vs3 are just a rush to who hits more targets faster. There's no double or triple enduring team you can make up, ba
sed on earth or water main only, that let you endure two agk + an eventual follow up by another heavy aoe hitter like tendo, edo hiruzen or edo deidara, overall if they run 1 buff cleaner like han, if they are able to hit 80/100 chakra in early round 2 (unless you steal chakra too before they move)
