Exactly. I used Jonin Medal Renewal only once, and that was before any of these features were introduced. The options we have now are far better, so i guess the answer to your question is "No, it doesn't make sense".

I disagree. Jounin medal is really good. Only thing is, Oasis should increase the reward. Daily 20cp should be 35 or 40 cp.

20 cp a day is worthless as the slow increase in coupons is barely noticeable; it's better to just get the monthly gift cards if u are intending to spend on the game

It is the sweeps for ninja exams, having 5 slots for ninja teams rather than 3 and the fact that it give 20 coupons a day for 180 day(or was it 120?) is what makes it worth. I cannot tell you how annoying it is to only have 3 team slots. Having 400 stamina instead of 250 or something lower. I have a page for Tendou TI, Kyuubi, main team to use, GNW team, and ninja exam/experiment team

Honestly, Jonin Medal has always been more about the quality of life improvements more than value in regards to converting ingots to coupons. As such, the value of the Jonin medal is going to be pretty subjective, I think.

But yeah, it does some pretty sweet things for ya and if you value all that then it's definitely worth it. If you don't value all the extras very highly and are only trying to look at it as some ingot-sink then it wouldn't be very great at just that though...

For a low spender and wants a good conversion ratio of ingots to coupons, no.

Before 5.0 jonin medal was a good investment because by doing it on a renewal week, like this one, you used to get for 1888 ingots spent 4100 coupons back in the 180 days (20 per day + 20 more once per week on Saturday) and 944 coupons from the renewal itself, so the ratio was: 5000/1888 = 2.6, that was actually comparable to running additional convoys if you were in a server you could be plundered for or if you wanted to do the try your luck wheel and since there were all the secondary features (base stat bonus, world boss boost, sweep of exams, daily practice packs instant, 2 more lineups, etc...) was indeed worth it.

The problem is that now is no more so because the 2nd monthly card is simply too good in comparison with (6 times the give back ratio) and the same is the top naruto froggy (not much for the ratio, that more or less is the same 2.7 times, but for the time required to get the full advantage: 7 days).

Jonin medal since 4.0 was supposed to grant to the users a 10/20/30% discounts in black market, shop and eventually on some weekly events (by granting 20/30% discount vouchers in the events that had them preset as potentially available choices, like 7 days of welfare one).

Was supposed to give access to mysterious treasure and to a specific shop (the one in east konoha).

The reason why is bad right now is simply this one: you did not implement anything of this.

So, if you want to go on avoiding to implement any of these things, at least make the medal worth it (increase the coupons per day to 50 or change the weekend pack to grant 200 coupons instead of 20 or cut the cost of the medal to 688 ingots or make the coupons gained in this renewal event not the 50% of the cost, but 200%).

If you do not do any of those things expect to get a very massive flee of people like me and regn from this investment.

Wow, so we were supposed to get more features with our purchase of the Jonin Medal but they took them out/didn't implement them yet?

You all know what i'm going to say about all this, but i won't since that's not something the mods or staff would want to hear.

Like everythin*el said, medal is about quality of life. That's one of the most fair premium system in this type of games. Regarding it's value it never was even remotely close to monthly card pack, if you are already at comparing it to platinum card. Yeah, we are missing some features it should provide (which even were in it's description since always), happens. Worse things happened in this game.

This is not a free feature. All the worse thing that happened (and you are right in pointing them out) happened on free features, as far as i know, features oasis do not plan to get money from.

About the quality of life, the advantages are there, indeed, but are not enough, imho, to cover for the high cost (40$ is not a low amount, doesn't matter how you see it).

Medal is just a p2p mechanism right now. It's not really something you get for the coupons or anything, although that does offset some of the cost. It's mostly just for the added benefits that make the game faster/easier for you. Auto-sign in for the daily login, faster spa recharge, 2 extra teams so you don't have to change so often, larger stamina pool, etc. If we get the discount shops and stuff, then it's more of a p2w and might be worth it again.
