I watch naruto from the very start until the end.
This Arc has lot of happening: Asuma died, naruto first time uses the rasen shuriken against kakuzu Earth Grudge and eventually 1shot him in his normal form. (This should also be added in the game to 1 shot EGK) and of course the battle of Shikamaru and Hidan.
Since Hidan is immortal, shikamaru a brilliant strategist through lot of planning while he battles hidan and eventually defeat hidan.
Hidan was buried alive while having his body chop to pieces thats why he cant get out being buried.
Thats also the reason why Kabuto cant use edo tensei to him and theres no edo hidan in the anime cause he is still alive until now. I wont be surprise if we can see hidan in boruto. Maybe someone has accidentaly dug his body out.

I highly believe hidan will become a good guy in boruto to help fight against kara, or whatever group emerges after them,etc. Bad situation shikamaru will prob have to think of a strategy and its one he never thought would ever come up. Immortal who never dies, can kill just by using their blood. Thats kaguya status imo.
Anywho hidan is both dead&alive. Never died in manga/anime. However was killed off when answering questions in an interview from lack of nutrients as immortal still needs to eat *ironic*. There has been instances where interview answers ended up not staying and were changed in future manga/anime that took place after. Also edo tensei cannot be performed when someone is indeed alive *exception is minato's 9tails* naruto had half of the "living" 9tails. so half was killed with minato&kushina, and the dead half that was revived created a edo tensei 9tails alongside a living 9tails. *highly overlooked piece of info*.
As for the fact of it being a edo deidara i highly doubt it *slimly possible* considering christmas sakura wasnt an actual ninja in manga/anime was an extra added, same as the cats. So it is possible they would add a non-connected ninja because of fan ba
se or whatever. Hence our mains arent naruto, or sasuke. its lightning,fire,etc....and tech they are cannon even tho not real ninja as this is tech connected to naruto even tho its a game. So non cannon connection via anime/manga, however connection by a video game featuring naruto thats been authorized to exist. not meaning anything bad by this-> I'd honestly go as far to say I know more info about naruto then every user on the forums as I love trying to find someone who tops me on info lol. Little long set of info^ but couldnt pass up the chance to discuss about my #3 fav ninja. Jashin is always pleased ;p

Nope you're wrong but at some point, you're right too. At the end of Asuma arc. Hidan was buried alive and obviously anime showed the audience that he's alive. And also when kakuzu was reanimated, he asked about hidan during a battle. While most of the dead akatsuki mekebers were reanimated, he mentioned that may Hidan's still alive. That is what happened in the canon. But I doubt that whether you have watched all episodes of the series, because in a filler, Kabuto Yakushi reanimated him. That filler series was called chikara. It covers episodes 290 to 295.
i wouldnt classify 290-295 as anything to do with naruto relations was just terrible.... Thats like putting Tron from Tron in naruto and claiming hes a lightning ninja, it just isnt gonna work out lol.
Besides i'd classify those more of decoys like in the old days when ninja transformed into other ninja. Hence naruto going into genjutsu by the fake itachi *instead of naming the episode lets see if you figure it out* So if you used a corpse and reanimated it and did injection with ninja cell like hashirama:yamato you could create a false edo hidan/false reanimated hidan that is identical to the original, they also have shown how they can make ninja look like anything they want from experiments. So put 2&2 together you got urself a false idol. ;p
