This is called power creep. Basically it is the process of introducing more ways to power up your characters in an online game and putting a price tag on it. The whales buy the new ''power creep'' every few months to always stay on top so that no one else can catch up to them. This is in every f2p mmo collector game, However here it's affecting the f2p players because the match making system is flawed and doesn't work as intended. In other games they match whales with other whales but here the match making seems to be random or based on levels that has almost nothing to do with actual battle power, and as a result the lower bp gets matched with higher bp and then players complain.
