He is a support, chakra battery with chakra drain/shield+debuff clear and high chase immobile. Chaos bomb teams usually dont reach 30combo, so you cant proc immobile. You dont have problems with chakra either, so all whats left is targetted immobile or shield. Kurenai does better shielding part, since she also offers significant heal and mirror.

He could be useful for teams with chakra scaling, maybe angel konan, kisame samehada, anbu yamato and water main. 3/4ay teams work ok too, but 3rd ay isnt top tier team and 4th ay team requires 4* ay and additional frags for mystery book which are out of reach for almost everyone. Think yourself if theres a team that needs chakra and can make high combos, because thats what yamato offers.
